Seven Steps to a Self-Care Diet
Elisha Goldstein, PhD, lists seven steps to developing a program of self-care. 1. Start your morning by thinking of five things for which you are grateful. 2. Practice mindful eating for a few minutes in the morning.3. Practice a “Mindful Check-In” once or twice daily. 4. Take a 20 minute walk each day. 5. Put your hands on your heart and wish yourself well – to be happy and healthy. 6. When things are tough, just acknowledge that it’s a hard moment. 7. At night, look back on the day, forgive all the people against whom you hold a grudge, release that burden and have a better night’s sleep.
